About our Crate

What is Treat Crate?

Treat Crate delivers a specially curated box of world’s best snacks right to your doorstep, on a monthly subscription basis. It’s like opening up a present on Christmas morning, every month!
  
We invite you to ‘treat yourself’ with our rare & yummy treats and share the experience with our Treat Crate community. Each month, we’ll explore a different country together.
   

Why should you subscribe to Treat Crate?

If you like snacking and crave a taste of adventure, Treat Crate international snack crate selection, is for you!
  
Travelling isn’t the only way to experience new cultures – Treat Crate will deliver snacks from all around the world, right to your own doorstep! We’ll surprise you with a new country every month and you can experience a new culture through their food!
  
Simply put, the snacks that we source are very hard to find in Australia. We do a tonne of research and taste testing to select the best snacks that each country has to offer. And if you do manage to get your hands on them (you go Glen Coco!), you’ll faint at the sight of the price! Treat Crate not only sources these yummy snacks for you at unprecedented prices, we’ll deliver you an experience that you’ll crave for every month!
      

How are you different from other snack subscription services?

We are the first snack subscription service based in Australia that specialises in international snacks. We’ll cop the exorbitant international shipping costs and do all the research to source the best snacks for you. All you need to do is sit back, snack and relax.

 

Are the snacks customisable for dietary restrictions and food allergies? (e.g. vegetarian, halal, nut-free, gluten-free, etc).

We currently do not offer an option to customise our crates. However we are working on it! Please subscribe to our mailing list and we’ll let you know when we release additional crates.
  
We do provide a list of all the ingredients in our snacks for your discretion. That being said we cannot guarantee the absence of certain allergens in our snacks – please consume our snacks carefully at your own risk.

  

Can I purchase just one box without subscribing?

Yes sure, just choose the month-to month subscription plan and then cancel your subscription right away. Accordingly, you will be billed and sent just one month’s box.
 

 

 

Shipping & Redelivery

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship all over Australia.
  
We are working very hard to take our Treat Crates internationally, please wait for us our international friends!
  

How much is shipping?

We try our best to keep shipping costs as low as possible but subsiding the true cost to get it to you. 
  
Shipping is $9.95 flat rate to all areas in Australia and includes tracking & signature on delivery by default. (You can request us to change it to authority to leave should you wish prior to shipping)
  

When do you ship?

We will ship out your Treat Crate to you within the first two weeks of every month. If you haven’t received your Treat Crate after this timeframe, please shoot us an email at hello@treatcreate.com.au and we’ll find out what’s the dealio, pronto!
 

How do I change my shipping address?

After you've subscribed to us, simply log onto your account. Click on "Subscriptions", then under "Actions" click "Edit". Under "Shipping Address", click "Edit" again and change your shipping details accordingly.
If you need further assistance, please shoot us an email at  hello@treatcreate.com.au and we'll be happy to help. If you wish to change address after we have shipped there is a $10 'redirect' fee to have Australia Post change the address whilst its in transit.
 

How do I order multiple crates and ship them to different addresses?

Currently, you are only able to provide one shipping address per order. If you would like to ship multiple crates to different addresses, please place a new order for each crate that is going to a different address. You can still manage all of your crates under one account by logging into your account on our website.
  

I made a mistake with my address information and never received my crate. Can you redeliver it for me?

In the occasion that you provided us with the wrong shipping address and hence your crate was sent to the wrong address, we will have to wait for your crate to be sent back to us. If you would like for us to redeliver your crate, it will cost $15 for the redelivery fee. If you would like to do this, please email us at hello@treatcreate.com.au.
 
Please note that if the parcel is not sent back to us, we cannot redeliver your crate to you. Also note that it can take 1- 2 months for parcel to be returned to us, hence if redelivered, we cannot guarantee the best condition of our perishable snacks.
 

I missed the 5 day deadline to redeliver/pick up my crate. Can you redeliver it for me?

We require all our parcels to be signed upon delivery. In the event that you are not home to sign for your crate, our courier will leave a card with details for you to collect your crate at your nearest collection point or details for you to schedule a redelivery. You should also receive an email notification. The redelivery or pick up from your nearest collection point must be completed within 5 days that you receive the notice, after which time the parcel will be returned to us.
 
If you would like for us to redeliver your crate, it will cost $15 for the redelivery fee. If you would like to do this, please email us at hello@treatcreate.com.au.

Billing, Payments and Cancellations

[IMPORTANT] What is the cut-off date to subscribe to the next crate?

Please note that the cut off date (last day to subscribe to the next month's order) is different to the renewal date (day you are billed for the next month's crate).
 
Cut-off date: last day of every month
  • ie. Sep 30 for October Crate, Oct 31 for November Crate, etc
  • All new subscriptions must be purchased by this date to receive the upcoming crate.
  • For existing subscribers, shipping address and all payments must be finalised by this date for you to be eligible to receive the next month’s crate.
Renewal date: 15th day of every month
  • For existing subscribers, all cancellations or changes to your billing plan (i.e. from monthly billing to 3 month billing) must be finalised by this date to avoid being charged for the next cycle of crates.

When will I be billed?

We offer the option to be billed once every ONE, THREE, SIX or TWELVE months. The more months you prepay for, the cheaper your deal is.
You will be billed immediately for your first batch of months (1, 3, 6 or 12).
  
Recurring orders will be renewed and hence billed on the 15th day of the month, 1, 3, 6 or 12 months later depending on which plan you subscribed to.
  
For example, for Month-to Month Subscriptions: if you subscribe on October 1st, you will be billed on October 1st and your first crate will be shipped out in the first two weeks of November. You will be billed again on November 15th to prepay for next month’s crate, December crate. All changes and payments are to be finalised by the cut-off date November 31st (last day of the month) for you to be eligible to receive the December crate. The December crate will be shipped out to you in the first two weeks of December. You will be billed again on December 15th to prepay for January’s crate.
  
For example, For Multi-Month Subscriptions: if you subscribe on Oct 11, you will be billed on Oct 11 for 3 month’s worth of Treat Crates and your first crate is shipped out to you in the first two weeks of November. On the first Monday of December, your December Crate will be shipped out to you. In the first two weeks of January, your January Crate will be shipped out to you. On January 15th  (next renewal date) you will be billed again to prepay for the next 3 months worth of Treat Crates.
  

Can I skip a crate shipment?

Yes sure.
After you've subscribed to us, simply log onto your account. Click on "Delivery schedule", then click "Skip" for the shipment that you'd like to skip.

How do I update my payment details

After you've subscribed to us, simply log onto your account. Click on "Billing information", then under "Card on file" click "Update card" to change your payment details.

How do I cancel my subscription?

We’d hate to see you go… but if you must, simply log onto your account. Click on "Subscriptions", then under "Actions" click "Cancel". Cancellations are easy – we want you to experience Treat Crate without feeling locked down to any contracts.
You can also Re-activate your account at any time. Just log back into your account and follow the same prompts.
  
Please note that all cancellations must be made by the renewal date (15th day of the month) to avoid renewing your subscription for the next cycle. You will be sent any remaining boxes per your most recent renewal but you will not be charged again after that.
